The 1996 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutatin' Leonardo action figure was released by Playmates Toys as part of the popular Mutations or Mutatin' Turtles subline. Standing approximately 5 inches tall, this vintage TMNT action figure transforms from an ordinary pet turtle into Ninja Turtle Leonardo, with the shell opening to reveal his articulated limbs, blue bandana, and signature “L” belt buckle. This figure is identical to the 1992 release.
The Mutatin' Leonardo figure uses a series of twists and shifts to transition between its two forms, recreating the classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles origin story. Accessories include Mutating Katanas, a Retromutagen Ooze Canister, Can of Turtle Food, and Mutating Pizza/Ninja Star, making this 1996 vintage TMNT collectible a distinctive Playmates Toys transformation figure.
