The 1996 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutatin' Splinter action figure was released by Playmates Toys as part of the popular Mutations subline. This vintage TMNT action figure features a unique manual transformation that allows Splinter to change between his human Hamato Yoshi form and his familiar mutant rat Splinter form using hinges, tabs, and rotating body panels. This figure is identical to its 1992 release, with the exception of added Ninja Power brand packaging.
The Mutatin' Splinter figure originally came with a Retromutagen Ooze Canister, Pet Turtle Food Can, and Mega Mutation Chart. By recreating the transformation of Hamato Yoshi into the Turtles’ sensei, this 1996 vintage TMNT collectible offers a distinctive take on the classic Playmates Toys Mutations line.
