Why should I purchase AFA, CAG, or CAS graded toys?
Toy grading services have been serving the collector’s market for decades, helping to preserve beloved toys from the past. When you purchase a toy with a grade from the AFA, CAG, or CAS, you know for certain that they are in mint condition. Rather than trusting the word of various stores, they have standardized the definition of mint condition collectibles.
For instance, no toys that have been repackaged or resealed pass their grading process. While you may find loose toys with grades, any boxed products are guaranteed to be Mint in Box. Furthermore, these companies carefully examine the boxes, windows, and toys themselves to determine their quality. The cleaner and closer to looking like they did straight out of the factory, the higher the grade.
Any toy that receives a grade over 85 is an excellent product to purchase and add to your collection. Thus, we look out to set up auctions of toys with a grade of 85 or higher.
