Transformers SCF Mega SCF and PVC were various lines of blind box miniature transformers figures. First produced by Takara, Super Figure Collection: Transformers was a line of miniture models of various Transformers characters released in ten “acts.” The line featured many recolors and exclusive figures, alongside five inch Mega SCF figures. The middle waves of the Japanese SCF line featured parts to construct a “build-a-figure” character. This method was used to release the likes of Scorponok and Fortress Maximus. Upon being sold in the US, the line was greatly shrunk, both in the number of waves and the number of characters. Many less popular characters and clear and metallic figures did not receive US releases. This line replaced the blind box method of the Japanese line with typical figure packaging.
