Following Saban’s hit Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the company also brought over the Big Bad Beetleborgs to western audiences. Likewise, Bandai released the toys for this series in 1996. Following the success of the first series, the toy line continued under new names. In 1997, Bandai released the Metallix figures, then, in 1998, the series also gained the Force tagline.
