This 1986 Kenner Toy Fair Catalog page promoted No. 37390, the Switchblade Vehicle, a high-tech helicopter that became a sinister pursuit plane. The VENOM SWITCHBLADE was truly a specter of evil, a threat to every MASK vehicle and agent. The cockpit had an opening canopy while copter blades rotated at the touch of a button.
However, the SWITCHBLADE had an even more lethal form. The rotor blades folded back, and the tail fin could be rotated to release snap-out plane wings. Dual laser cannons automatically popped out of the nose section, and landing skids became wing-mounted launchers for energy bolts. Complete with one torpedo missile, the VENOM SWITCHBLADE became an awesome pursuit plane headed for a showdown with MASK.
SWITCHBLADE also comes with an articulated MILES MAYHEM figure, the vicious evil leader of VENOM. His special removable VIPER mask allowed fans to pretend that he could neutralize enemy attacks by emitting powerful, invisible poison.
