LJN continued to present their hit E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial toy line on page 47 of the 1983 Toy Fair Catalog. As they stated on a prior page, LJN managed to produce more E.T. toys than any other company worldwide. So, they set out to continue to aggressively push out the toys for this lovable extra-terrestrial in the following year.

So, they began by promoting #1248, the E.T. & Spaceship Launcher, which was small and light enough to be carried on a youngster’s belt. The ship’s canopy then tilted back to reveal an E.T. Figure. By lowering the ramp and pushing the secret eject button, the E.T. figure shot out before rolling along to explore his new world.
Next, they presented #1247, the E.T. Stunt Spaceship, which did fantastic tricks that are out of the world. So, this ship could perform tricks like spin-outs, left and right side wheelies, and even back wheelies. To begin the fun, users simply had to pull back on the spaceship.
Finally, they presented #1244, the E.T Pop-Up Spaceship, which held a small surprise. After circling around, this spaceship’s hatch opened so that the E.T. figure could pop up. To begin the fun, users only had to wind up the engine.
