LJN continued to present their hit E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial toy line on page 45 of the 1983 Toy Fair Catalog. As they stated on a prior page, LJN managed to produce more E.T. toys than any other company worldwide. So, they set out to continue to aggressively push out the toys for this lovable extra-terrestrial in the following year.

They began by presenting #1215, the E.T. Collectibles Assortment A, which featured colorfully decorated pocket-sized figures. Each pose and costume recreated memorable moments from the movie. This assortment came with 12 of each of the 6 different styles. Then, they presented #1226, the E.T. Collectible Giftset A, giving fans the chance to take all six figures home with them.
Next, LJN presented #1260, the E.T. Collectibles Assortment B, which presented six new looks for the alien. As with the prior assortment, this grouping featured 12 of each of the 6 new styles. Also, they offered #1227, the E.T. Collectible Giftset B, which gave the option to buy all six in one package.
Finally, LJN presented #1228, the E.T. Collectible Family Giftset. These sets extended E.T.’s play adventures by providing replicas of the other stars from the movie. Each set included figures of Elliot, his sister Gertie, brother Michael, his mother, the Intruder, and E.T. Unlike the prior two assortments, these figures were not sold separately.
