The graphics for LJN’s Tri-Ex toy line continued on page 13 of the 1983 Toy Fair Catalog. As an expansion of the Rough Riders toy line, these vehicles all provided the same motorized four-wheel-drive excitement. However, they added a new factor by providing three modes of play. First, players could switch the vehicles to race mode, optimizing the vehicles for speed. Then, they could switch over to off-road mode. Finally, the vehicles had a free-wheeling action mode.
